Happy New Year!!! I celebrated my 75th Year of Life on the 3rd!! My Husband along with our 2 Daughters, Son-in-Law and Grand-Daughter pulled off quite the surprise. I was kidnapped for the day — given an on-the-road breakfast from Dunkin, so we would not be late to the “unknown to me at the time” get together. The day kicked off at the Maryland State House!! While enjoying and taking pictures in one of the exhibit rooms – some people walked in – I did not look up as I was busy taking photos. Finally, my Daughter said “Surprise”!!! Well, that was an understatement if ever there was one!! I turned to see Daughter and her Husband from Georgia along with Daughter and Grand-Daughter from Pennsylvania – now singing “Happy Birthday” … now, being in Annapolis and at the Maryland State House made sense!! We finished the exhibits. Headed off for a snack at 1747 Pub (delicious). We, then, headed to Annapolis Mall for some jewelry shopping! Followed by Dinner at McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant at National Harbor. It was definitely a full day of FUN and LAUGHS. Thoughts for the New Year: 1/ Get some REST!!! “Rest will never run towards you and make you STOP and smell the roses. You must pursue it”. 2/ Look to free yourself from things/tasks that are no longer serving you. 3/ You must give up something – – in order to add something ‘new’ into your schedule. – and thus, handle successfully.
